Matt (Rooster) is our most senior beekeeper with over 12 years of experience. He has set up and managed a very large beekeeping operation in the past, but family and a better work-life balance are now his priorities.

Senior part-time beekeeper. We call in Ian when we are up to our eyeballs in work and need a hand from a trustworthy, reliable beekeeper who has done his time with the big players in the industry. He now runs a few hundred hives to keep himself out of trouble…apart when he’s rescuing people who have got into trouble and volunteers for Search and Rescue.

JR is a senior beekeeper with a huge amount of commercial acumen and experience. Primarily a queen rearer, he has expanded and also does day-to-day beekeeping with the team. He’s joined us on a big year of unexpected growth!

Vinnie is our youngest beekeeper and has worked with Kintail Honey for almost two years prior to joining us. He is quickly being exposed to all areas of beekeeping and an invaluable resource who will be trained in all areas of the operations to make sure we can all focus on our key tasks and remain efficient. Vinnie will progress to a senior beekeeping role as he gets more experience
